Barrie was known as a loyal friend, honest and hardworking man. He was devoted to his family. Barrie was passionate about hockey, playing himself and considered coaching Megan a highlight of his life. His many activities included baseball, archery, hunting and fishing. He was a self-taught saddle maker and silversmith. Many people have treasured awards and gifts he crafted. His biggest passion was roping. Many hours of enjoyment, travel and lifelong friends were gathered through roping in the MTRA, MRCA, CCA and TRC associations.
