Harry Klippenstein

November 29, 1936 — October 16, 2021

It is with sadness that the family of Harry Klippenstein announces his quiet passing at St. Boniface Hospital on Saturday October 16th.

Harry was born in the district of Alt- Bergthal, the eldest son of Abram and Sara Klippenstein. He grew up in Altona, MB and married Helen (nee Hiebert) on February 16, 1958. They moved to the Bagot area along with the Klippenstein family in 1963. Harry farmed his whole life and had an undying passion for all aspects of the farm and its activities, even until his last days. He greatly appreciated his community, friends and neighbors. He enjoyed meeting new people and social celebrations were a highlight. Harry was an avid family man and loved to watch his children thrive and grow. He enthusiastically supported each generation in their interests and activities. Grandchildren and great grandchildren were a special sort of delight: a young visitor would always be met with his wide smile and a twinkle in his eye. We will always remember the sound of his generous laughter.

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Helen of 63 years, his children Wayne (Audrey), Ken (Heather), Cheryl, Shawn (Jill). Grandchildren: Trevor (Saima), Nicole (Kevin), Holly (Kurtis), Mark, Jane (Jared), Adam, Hartley, Braden, Amy and Kailey. Great grandchildren Jersey, Hailey, Daisy, Alley, Colton, Tex, Clint, Jack and Leah, and siblings Harvey (Jolane), Lorna (Michael), Verna (Andrew), Brian (Doreen) and Gerald (Tammy). He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Esther, and his brother Elvin.

Harry was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

A come-and-go viewing will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Wednesday October 20 from 6-9pm. A private family service will be held with interment to follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery.

We would like to thank all family and friends for their support, and medical personnel for their devoted effort. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the North Norfolk Foundation, Box 696, MacGregor, MB R0H 0R0.
