Raymond Syganiec

Peacefully with family by his side, Raymond Syganiec of Rathwell, Manitoba passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the age of 62.

Left to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 38 years, Simone Syganiec (nee Dufault) and his seven children: Jeannine Steinke, Crystale (Everett) Mazurat, Lee-ann (Greg Rogasky), Matthew (Lorelle), Sarina (Christopher) McFadyen, Natacha (Matthew Mangin), Joshua (Brianagh Brownell) and his eight grandchildren: Kadence, Danica, Yvette and Timothy Steinke, Maysen and Maverik Mazurat, Tayla Rogasky and Chase McFadyen; siblings
Micheal, Paul (Stella), Josephine (Robert) Toews, Jenny Schmidt, and Dale. He was predeceased by his parents: Pete Sloboda and Anna Syganiec (nee Kucharski), his in-laws: Marcel and Yvette Dufault (nee Gueret).

Born on September 16, 1956 in Carman, Manitoba, Raymond grew-up on a small farm near Rathwell, Manitoba where he and Simone raised their seven children. Raymond loved his family dearly and was very proud of his children’s accomplishments. He worked very hard to provide for his large family and always attended to their needs.

Raymond valued his Christian beliefs and was a member of the St. Monica Parish. He was well known for being a talented and passionate diesel mechanic who shared his knowledge and help with many. He spent countless hours and late nights farming and caring for his cattle which brought him great joy. Raymond enjoyed driving down scenic roads, fishing, hunting, reading, learning and spending time with family and friends.

The world has lost a wonderful man and he will be missed terribly.

As per Raymond’s request, a private family funeral service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Raymond’s memory to Feed My Lambs Street Mission, 535 Yale Ave W, Winnipeg, MB, R2C 1V6, or to the St. Monica Parish, c/o Box 73 Rathwell, MB R0G 1S0.
