It is with great sorrow that we share the sudden loss of our beloved Geordie, son to Liz, cherished companion to his cat Garfield.

Left to mourn his passing sibling a baby Brother to: Derek, Andrea (Marcel), and Adrienne; uncle to: Dacotah (Shenoah), Tess, Blaize, Lakota (Cheyenne), Kristin (Grant), Gage, Amber (Jaleel), Jordan, Kishey, Lindsay; “Okan” grandfather to: Khaliah, Gracelynn, Aliyah, Luna, Nyla, Kassian, Gavin, Aaden, Addison, Gage, Jordyn, Dakota, Logan, Brinley, Dante, Mateo, Teagus, Annabelle, Lance Sapphire, Rayne, Remi; son to his biological father: Nelson Woods.

Geordie was born with Sotos Syndrome and not expected to live beyond 20 years. He had his own agenda and shared his life with us for 41 years.  He attended Nursery School with Mrs. Dickson at Long Plain School, Kindergarten with Mrs. Clifford at Prince Charles School and Alternative classes at Victoria School.   He ended his academic life with Mrs. Great Walker at Long Plain School. Geordie was a proficient gamer, spending many hours playing his zombie games and outgrew the 360 gaming systems that he had to upgrade to the latest version. He was a big fan of all James Bond movies and knew all the actors from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig.

Pallbearers whom Geordie accepted and allowed into his life: Lakota Woods, Dacotah Woods, Reg Beaulieu, Michael Longclaws, Adam Woods and Dusty Peters, honorary pallbearers are all his cousins, firekeepers are Chris L.A. Longclaws and uncle Warren.

Geordie’s family will celebrate his life privately.

A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel.
