After a short illness, Barry Glanville passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 47 years.

Barry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Melissa (nee Beaudin), children Teagan Glanville and Tristan Glanville, parents Bruce and Grace Glanville, brother Danny (Misti) Glanville and sister Denise (Daniel) Waylett. He will also be missed by his parents-in-law Vic and Louise Beaudin, sisters-in-law Gina (Mark) Mogan and Roxane Beaudin (Perry Large), brother-in-law Dean Beaudin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Barry was born in St. Anne, MB and grew up in Oakville, MB. He attended high school at Arthur Meighen in Portage and MCI in Gretna. While working as a cook at the Chicken Chef in Elie, Barry met the love of his life Melissa and they married in August of 2003.

In 2001, Barry ventured into the world of sales with Vector Marketing selling Cutco, where they later moved to Lethbridge, Alberta to run his own Cutco office.

By 2006 they welcomed their daughter Teagan and later moved back to Manitoba to be closer to family. Soon after Barry started his long-term career of 19 years with Enns Brothers, selling large agriculture equipment. In 2009 their son Tristan was born. 

Barry was kind, hardworking, determined, thoughtful and generous. He lived life to the fullest. He loved to hunt, fish, spend time at the lake and enjoyed boating adventures with family and friends that often ended with a happy-hour. Barry had a real love for music, often found singing and dancing into the night with his closest friends. His true passion was his family, teaching and motivating his kids to reach their full potential. Also spending family time at the lake, where he recently began a renovation to their family cabin to fulfil their dream of retiring there.

A celebration of Barry’s life will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the MNP Building on Island Park Portage la Prairie. The service will be livestreamed, to register and view see link below.

As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made in Barry’s memory to Central Plains Cancer Services, 318 Saskatchewan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0K8.
