Beatrice Bates

Peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2024, Beatrice Bates passed away with family by her side at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 85 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bill Bates, children Kim (John) Vrooman, Kelly Bates, Gaylene Bates and Val Bates (Chris Simon), along with 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, brother Ken Bradley, sister-in-law Diane Bradley, in-laws Terry (Carol) Bates and Alan bates, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Beatrice was predeceased by her parents Bill and Lauretta Bradley, parents-in-law Radley and Florence Bates, brothers Gerald Bradley and Lorne Bradley.

The family would like to thank Dr. Parker, Home Care, and Sunset Palliative Care for their care and compassion.

As per Beatrice’s wishes, a family interment will take place at the Hillside Cemetery Columbarium.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Beatrice’s memory to the Sunset Palliative Care Inc, 40 Royal Rd N, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1V1.
