Carol Jean Strecker (nee Rusnak)

After a short illness, Carol Strecker passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025 with family by her side at her home at the age of 79 years.

Carol was predeceased by her husband Ed Strecker; parents Mary and Robert Rusnak; brothers John, Fred, Walter, Ron and Nick; sisters Dorothy, Marilyn and Diane and great granddaughter Gabrielle. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Eddie Strecker with grandchildren Zack and Chrissy; daughter Cathy (Pius) Bergman with grandson Raymond, great granddaughters Emily and Lilly. Also left to mourn her passing are her brother Michael and sister Nancy, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A private interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. Everyone is welcome to join the family for Carol’s celebration of life on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 313 Dufferin Ave West in Portage la Prairie from 3:00pm to 5:30pm, small lunch will be served.
