Catherine Lenting

With her family at her side, Cathy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 60 years.

Cathy was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend to all who knew her.

From a young age, Cathy developed a love for new locations. The adventures around Canada began with her dad in the air force and continued with the eleven towns she moved to while following the career of her husband, James.

Cathy's #1 passion was for her two boys, Anthony and Nathan. Even as adults, she cared for her boys by cooking meals and baking or taking them for meals (insisting James pay).

That was Cathy. Always caring and nurturing those around her. She was a wonderful friend to all.

Cathy will be greatly missed by those fortunate enough to know her.

Cathy will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband James Lenting; children Anthony Lenting (Robyn Halliday) and Nathan Lenting (Jessica Nicholson); mother Claudette Pagé; brothers Daniel (Margaret) Pagé and Reymond Pagé (Laura Peters); sister Nicole (Jim) Mayo; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Cathy was predeceased by her father Bernard Pagé, and parents-in-law Jim and Mary Louise Lenting.

A service to celebrate Cathy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel with Fr. Gerald Langevin officiating. Private family interment will take place at a later date.

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Cathy’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 1379 Kenaston Boulevard Winnipeg, MB R3P 2T5.
