Francis "David" Fleury Hulme

January 17, 1940 — August 5, 2025

Peacefully on August 5, 2025, David Hulme passed away at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 85 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Michele Day, Veronica Eirikson, James Hulme (Sheila Maxwell) and Francis Hulme (Crystal McDonald); grandchildren Patrick Day, Alexandra Day, Ruby Azrene, Amber Hicks, Craig Eirikson, Kobe Birston-Hulme and Rayden McDonald-Hulme; great grandchildren Bella, Alivia, Carter and Archer, brothers Nelson, Robert and Frank, sisters Betty, Ellen and Florence; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. David was predeceased by is parents Nelson Hulme and Christenia Sheridan; brothers Edward and Wiliam “Bill” and sister Janet.

David was born in MacGregor, MB, and was a farmer most of his life. In the 1980’s he ran a Bee business and also had a tap line for three years. In high school he played football and later on loved to watch many sports. He also enjoyed gardening and had a love for books. In his spare time he just loved going for long walks.

A funeral service will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place in the MacGregor Cemetery.
