Peacefully on November 22, 2024, Donald “Cam” Clearwater passed away with family by his side at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 69 years.
Cam was lovingly remembered by his wife Marjorie Larkins, son Derek (Ashley) with granddaughter Brooke, daughter Carmen (Jessy) with grandchildren Alexis, Kaiden and Lincoln, brother Fred (Betty) Clearwater, sister Joy Bray, the Larkins’ family, fur baby Ozzy; along with many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Elmer and Jean Clearwater, sister Audrey (Jim) Armishaw, brothers-in-law Grey Bray and Ken Smith and sister-in-law Barbara Clearwater.
Donald was born to Elmer and Jean Clearwater on April 21, 1955 in Carman, Mb. They lived in Homewood, MB and moved to Miami, MB in 1962. They next moved to Russel, MB where they spent several years until moving back to Portage la Prairie, MB. He began his working career at the Portage Abattoir and ending his carer by retiring from the Portage Co-op Gas Bar. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking, especially going out to the shooting range. Cam loved to spend time with his family and friends over a cup of coffee.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at HSC-Cancer Care and the Portage District General Hospital for their care and compassion.
Cam’s life will be celebrated privately at a later date.
