It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Rae Creed on Sunday, October 20, 2019, with her family by her side.
Mom was predeceased by her parents, son-in-law and great granddaughter, as well as numerous family members.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters Pat, Gail (Skitchy) and Marie (Larry), eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and one sister-in-law.
M om was born in Prince Albert, SK on January 8, 1927, the only child of Bert and Louise Andrews.
Mom graduated from normal school in Winnipeg, MB and taught for many years at Elm River, Beautiful Valley, Curtis, Victoria and Crescentview School where she taught French.
Mom so enjoyed being with her family and was immensely proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her greatest passions were children and education. She delighted in socializing with her friends, knitting, playing cards, watching curling on TV and her bus trips to the casino, which she did 2 months before her passing.
Mom, you are forever deeply loved and cherished. You lived a full life with a great many adventures and accomplishments. What the heart has once owned it shall never lose.
The family is extremely grateful to Dr. Nagra and the doctors and staff on the medical ward and all the homecare workers and nurses who cared for Mom so she was able to stay in her home.
A celebration of Rae’s life will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 1:30 pm, led by Shirley McLaren. Private family interment will take place at Oakville Cemetery.
