With great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Douglas “Doug-Doug” Beauchamp Jr. on March 2, 2026 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 51 years.

Doug-Doug has left to mourn his passing are his mother Pauline Beauchamp, sister Lesley Meeches - her children Shavez, Shaden, Shoel, and Shando Meeches (Kate Beaulieu); sister Lisa Beauchamp; brother Donovan Beauchamp; and sister Ivy Myran - her daughter Kathryn Myran. And his most favorite fur sister Teeni Beauchamp. Many, many family, friends, and gaming buddies - too numerous to mention but you know who you are!!!

He was predeceased by his father Doug Beauchamp; his grandparents Harvey and Laura Peters, Norman and Elsie Beauchamp; his nieces Lakea Meeches and Melody Daniels; nephew Shelby Meeches.

Douglas Gene Beauchamp Jr. was born on April 28, 1974 in Portage la Prairie, MB, the second oldest of all siblings and raised in MacGregor, MB.

He worked as a Bartender at The Portage Hotel, Shipping and Receiving at The Northern Store in Shamattawa, Plumbing with his father, voluntary firefighter in Long Plain First Nation, Security and finally Level II First Nation Safety Officer - which he loved to the end - with Arrowhead Development Corporation.

Doug-Doug was an amazing man, a jokster to the end, smart and a good problem solver, a passionate hunter, loved to smoke meats, process his own wild game, and make people laugh.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to all for your thoughts, prayers, and support. Thank you to all hospital staff for all that you did for Doug-Doug.

Private family services will be held.
