Peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2010, Duane Boak passed away at the age of 70 years.

He was predeceased by his parents George and Frances Boak and brother Don. Duane will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Elaine (Herb) Donald of Portage la Prairie and Val (Curtis) Pogue of Bagot; sister-in-law Evelyn Boak of Portage la Prairie; nieces and nephews Kevin (Penny) Donald, Terry (Jacqueline) Donald, Leanne (Scott) Dewis, Rhonda (Vaughn) Burch, Lisa (Mark) Killam, Bruce (Tracy) Boak and Kim (Rick) Wiebe and their families.

Duane was a kind, patient and quiet man who farmed all of his life. He found pleasure in fishing and being at family gatherings enjoying their company and good jokes. Duane was involved in the Rossendale Community Centre and curled with Burnside until last year. His quiet presence will truly be missed.

Memorial Service will be held at McKenzie United Church, 185 11th Street NW, on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 1:30 pm led byWilma Shirriff

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Duane's memory to Children's Wish Foundation, Portage Regional Committee, Box 1106, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3C5 or to a charity of choice.
