After a long illness, Elizabeth “Betty” Daniels passed away on April 18, 2026, at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 72 years.
Betty leaves behind her husband Morris Daniels of Portage la Prairie; son Robert Daniels of Portage la Prairie and daughter Kimberley Martin of Winnipeg; grandson Zachary Martin; extended family members Leona Meechas, Doris Daniels, Cecil Pashe and Du-Wayne Daniels and their families; special friends Lorna Wescoupe and Margaret French along with many relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her mother Doreen Mitchell nee Chaske and father Louis Merrick.
A Traditional ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Keeshkeemaquah Centre beginning at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Old Sioux Village.
A tree will be planted and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. www.mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com
