Elsie "Lynne" Christie

After a valiant battle with cancer, Lynne Christie passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 with family by her side at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 74 years.

Lynne will be lovingly remembered by her children Darlene Christie (Rob Van Lieshout), Bonnie Christie (Jack Birosh) and Rob Christie, grandchildren Aaron Putz (Ken McNeill) and Christie (Troy) Swift, great-granddaughters Brooklyn and Chloe, siblings Doris (“Dys”) Dyson and Jim (Gladys) Dunn and brother-in-law Garth (Susan) Christie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.  Lynne was predeceased by her husband Wayne Christie, parents Reginald and Helen Dunn and father & mother-in-law Harry and Myrtle Christie.

A Celebration of Lynne’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Trinity United Church led by Rev. Beth Kerr.  Interment will take place at Oakville Cemetery at a later date.
