Peacefully, with her family by her side, Esther passed away at the Portage District General Hospital on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the age of 62 years.
Esther Marlen Warkentin was born December 26th 1955 to Frank and Ruth Warkentin. Esther grew up in Newton Siding, Manitoba with her Oma, parents and siblings Loraine, Frankie, and Julianne.
Esther married the love of her life Wilhelm James Klassen on June 1st 1974. They had three children Tiphanie, Janalee and Zacharie.
Esther had a special flare for life. She had great talents when it came to music, art, cooking and baking. In her younger years and early adult life she was involved in choir and worship at church, and shared her love of music with her children, and they sang together every chance they got. Everything she put her finger to was beautiful and elegant, and you could feel the love in every single thing she did.
Esther struggled with her health for many years, but despite the intense pain she experienced, her love and faith in Jesus Christ never wavered. She enjoyed praying daily for her friends and family.
Esther was predeceased by her Father and Mother, and her little brother Frankie.
Esther left to mourn her passing her husband of 44 years Willie Klassen, her children Tiphanie (Wally) Kroeker, Janalee (Chris) Bell, and Zacharie (Melodie) Klassen. Her grandchildren, Tyler, Jakob (Kirsten), Breanne, Katie, Zoe, Jaren, Micah and Theodore. Also left to mourn Esther are her sisters Loraine and Julianne.
The family would like to extend a huge thanks to Dr. Jim Price, Dr. Alyssa Delaquis, and all the doctors, nurses and nurse’s aides that tirelessly cared for mom, especially in the past six months. Also, a thank you to all her home care aides that cared so deeply for her.
