Eva was born and spent her early years in Bagot, Manitoba. She moved to Portage to attend the Portage Collegiate, where she met her future husband, Frank Sissons. She was also a devoted member of Trinity United Church and active with the UCW.

Our family are grateful to the caregivers from Portage Home Care and the staff at both Portage General Hospital and Lions Prairie Manor. We would especially like to thank Sandra Wallace and Betty and Bill Kramble, whose friendship meant the world to her.
