Evelyn Irene Higgins (Sokolosky) (nee Brook)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, Evelyn Higgins on April 1, 2026 at Douglas Campbell Lodge at the age of 93 years.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husbands Bill Higgins and Demetrice Sokolosky; siblings Edward Brook and Frederick Brook; children Dianne Lynne, Daniel, Blaine and Kathrine; great-grandson Haiden Anderson. She leaves to mourn her passing, children Allan (Shirley) Sokolosky, Terry (Ingrid) Sokolosky, Laurie Smith and Leanne Revet; sister Mae Kasterki; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 1:00 pm, with viewing prior to the service. Burial will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
