Wayne "Red" Henry

Wayne went peacefully on January 19, 2026, at the age of 81.

He will be dearly missed by his sisters Sharon (Keith) and Charlene (Doug); brothers Rodney (Donna) and Stewart (Keri); sisters-in-law Audrey and Debbie; brothers-in-law Larry and Jim along with numerous nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his mother and father Helen and Gordon; sisters Margaret and Pat and brothers John and Brian.

Wayne started his working career at Wishart’s Garage and ended at Petro-Can (Mar-Dee) after 25 years. He passed his time going to the track with Barney and yaking with Stan. He enjoyed sitting outside at Regency House and conversing with his neighbours.

Special thanks to Dr. Aquin and the nursing staff at the Portage District General Hospital as well as the residents of Regency House for their love and care.

A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Royal Canadian Legion from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A private family burial at Evergreen Memorial Gardens will take place at a later date.
