Portage la Prairie

With great sadness we announce Haiden Anderson passed away on June 30, 2025 at his home, at the age of 20 years.

Left to mourn are parents Carly Sokolosky and Wallace Anderson; brother Benjamin (Brooke) Payment; sister Denise (Anthony) Stiegler; brother Elden Anderson; aunties and uncles James and Patty Anderson, Melissa and Dale Davis, Bryer Twiss, Chantelle Twiss, Olivia Sokolosky; grandparents Lori Sokolosky, Tamara Sokolosky; great grandparents James and Janette Brecknell, Evelyn Higgins, Lyn Twiss; nieces Lily Payment, Londyn Payment, Brenna Stiegler, Billie Payment; nephew Connor Stiegler; cousins Lincoln Davis, Isaha Twiss; and many more extended family.

Haiden was predeceased by grandfathers Berry Irwin, Authur Twiss, Stuart Anderson, Demetrice Sokolosky, Blaine Sokolosky; grandmother Joyce Anderson; uncle Lester Anderson; and special friend Landon Moore.

Haiden was born on December 9th, 2004 at 9:50pm at Portage District General Hospital and the very next day was transported to the Health Science Centre. Haiden had a rough start in life being born with heart conditions, he was a fighter! Haiden came home at two months old. Haiden started his days in High Bluff, MB. He soon moved to “The McCloud Farm.” Haiden spent many carefree days walking through the bush with his dad and family dogs, always on the lookout for hidden treasures, riding the lawn mower with Dad and driving the car around the yard.

In 2012 we had a house fire, we moved back to High Bluff with Haiden’s Papa Art for a brief time. Haiden loved spending time in the garage with his Papa Art. He always wanted to spend time doing “guy stuff.” On April 26th, 2012 we moved to our current home in Portage la Prairie. Haiden attended Yellowquill School, Fort la Reine School and Portage Collegiate Institute. Haiden wasn’t much for school; he would rather stay home and play video games. If video games were to be a subject in school Haiden would have a 100% class average. Haiden enjoyed video games so much he became a pro! He never showed mercy when competing with his dad and brothers. No one could beat Haiden! Haiden loved birthdays, holidays or any other occasion that brought people together, it meant food! Haiden would pack his Xbox and games up and take them wherever we'd be going. Haiden loved going to Aunty Melissa and Uncle Dave’s house, he loved Aunty’s cooking. Haiden graduated in 2023 from Portage Collegiate Institute School, he was so glad to be done!

Haiden’s greatest joys in life besides whooping arse in video games were his four nieces and one nephew. All he talked about was when he got his license and a truck he was going to pick up his nephew Connor from school and take him for a Slurpee. Haiden loved watching Connor and Brenna. Also his cat Chucky, he was a very good cat dad, always taking such good care of his cat’s needs.

Until I see you again my son, I love you more than words can say,

Love you ol’ma
