Ida Irene Waldner (nee Wollman)

March 12, 1981 — May 31, 2026

Listen to Obituary

With great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our most loved and cherished wife, mother, sister (in-law), daughter, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Ida left her earthly home and entered the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Ida was born in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba on March 12, 1981, to Nathaniel and Ida Wollman. She was the child born second in a family of eight.

Ida spent the first 21 years of her life between Poplar Point and Good Hope Colony. In 2003 Ida moved to Portage la Prairie and this where she met the love of her life Elvis. They got married December 2, 2005. Together they had four beautiful children; Joel, Idalia, Hosea and Katie. Ida was deeply devoted to her children and left a beautiful legacy of faith in Jesus, dedication and amazing worth ethic. She cherished quality time with each of them, taking her boys to soccer and hockey games. She was their greatest cheerleader and supporter, even stepping up to help her oldest son coach his younger brother in soccer where they went undefeated for 2 years. With her daughters she enjoyed shopping and having deep conversations with them. Her love for family was very evident. One of the dearest memories Idalia and Katie cherish the most, was the time spent together at the end of each day. Every night, all the kids would pile into Mom’s bed for their special wind-down time- a tradition filled with laughter, stories, and conversation. It was a place where they could share the details of their day, what was on their minds, and simply enjoy being together. Those quiet moments of quality time created a bond that will forever be treasured and remembered with love. She will be missed beyond measure.

Ida was an excellent hostess to her family and friends. An avid and talented baker and cook. She blessed many with her platters of dainties and delicious cookies.

Ida has left to mourn her husband, Elvis of 20 years, children: Joel (19), Idalia (17), Hosea (12) and Katie (10), father, Nathaniel, mother Ida, siblings: Jayson, Nathan (Elissa), Susan (Rick), Mary (Gilbert), Rita (Nathan), Daniel (Carleen), Royden (Kendra) and many nieces, nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, her church family at River Road Gospel Hall and many dear friends.

We will miss Ida’s beautiful smile, her quiet gentle spirit here on earth, until we meet again around the throne of glory.

“They will be brought with joy and rejoicing; They will enter into the King’s palace.” Psalm 45:15
