Jacquie was born on June 9, 1938 in Winnipeg, MB, firstborn child of Stan and Mabel. She took a Business Machines Course at the Manitoba Technical Institute in Winnipeg, MB. After graduation, she worked at Oldfield Kirby and Gardner Insurance and then at Hudson’s Bay House before marrying James Wilfred Blight on July 25, 1959. Jacquie hosted multiple family reunions including the 125th anniversary of the Blight farm in 2015. Jacquie travelled extensively across Manitoba to horse shows and rodeos with children Kim, Kendall, and Kam. She finished her work career at Ducks Unlimited, Oak Hammock Marsh. Jacquie loved her family and her grandchildren who affectionately called her Grams. She never missed an opportunity to watch her grandkids at any activity they partook in, she thought they were marvelous.
Jacquie was blessed to enjoy several uniquely close relationships including one with her cousin Joan Brinkhurst, her sister Gini, her Aunts Carolyn and Connie, and her sister-in-law Irene.
