Jeanine Wescoup

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jeanine Wescoup on Friday, August 9th, 2019.  Jeanine entered into the Spirit World after a lengthy fight with lupus.

Jeanine leaves to mourn her passing her children: daughters  Kassidy (Calvin), Leah, Breana (Vince), Carmen, Shayna and sons Terrance "Mister" and Ethan (Teenie).  She was awaiting the birth of her first grandchild very soon.   She also leaves behind her partner Terrance Smoke of 21 years; brothers and sisters; Cheryl (John), Jamie (Tasey), Pamela (Leon), Ryan (Tracey), Ian (Mederise) and her mother Lorna.

Jeanine was greeted by her dad James Elmer French, her paternal grandparents Simon French and Mae Bannop, and maternal grandparents Wallace Hobson and Elsie Wescoup.

Jeanine’s greatest loves and pride and joy were her children.  Her hobbies were bingo and homemaking, she had also tried her skills at gardening but her health would not allow her to grow.

The family would like to thank the doctors of Health Science Center, St. Boniface and Portage General Hospital. There are also heart felt appreciation to Stars Ambulance,  Ambulance drivers, medical drivers, Long Plain health center, Chief and Council  and NIHB and special heartfelt thanks to Angela Daniels.

Traditional wake will begin at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge. Traditional feast and service will begin at noon on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge.  Interment will follow at the Long Plain Cemetery.
