“White Thunderbird”
“Green Turtle”
Peacefully on June 24, 2025, surrounded by her family, Jocelyn Myran began her journey to the Spirit World.
She was predeceased by her father Brian, uncle Charles, grandfathers Terry and Emery. Left to mourn her passing are her son Vincent, sister Terri-Lynne, mother Lisa, aunts and uncles Terry (Angela), Carrie (Robert), Stewart (Charlene), Vanessa (William), Becky, Wesley (Evelyn), Nathan (Nadine), niece Sawyer and nephew Alistair; cousins Sierra (Lance), Kaylin, Autumn, Ivy, Mercedes, Alex, Shania, Jayden, Kenneth, Cassie, Dakota, Joel, Selena, Dwayne, Jessica, Nathan, Noah and Noland; grandparents Joyce (Wayne), Darlene, and Marie and many more cousins, and extended family.
Jocelyn was born at the Women’s Hospital in Winnipeg. She grew up in and attended La Verendrye school in Portage eventually graduating from Portage Collegiate Institute. After a year off she decided to attend Brandon University in a program designed to help families and children. Due to program changes etc. she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with a determination to return once the program returned.
Jocelyn was always open to new adventures and surprised our family by joining and working as a carny worker one summer. She was one determined lady to find employment that meant something to her. She found employment at the MCC store in Portage la Prairie eventually moving to the Furniture location. After a couple years she decided to work for her Indigenous community and sought employment at the newly built and opened Microtel Hotel as a housekeeper where she remained until her passing.
Jocelyn loved spending time with her son taking him to parks, playgrounds, splash pads and the beach. She enjoyed attending all the family events of parties, dinners, special occasions etc.
Jocelyn had a radiant smile and personality that all her friends and coworkers will remember for years ahead. Although she passed away at a young age, she has left us with many laughs and memories.
Her one last final gift to offer this life was to donate her kidneys to 2 individuals who shall be thankful for years to come.
We will love and miss you more than you can imagine Jocelyn. Fly High White Thunderbird
