Peacefully on September 20, 2017 surrounded by family, John (Ted) Matthews, at the age of 91, passed away.
He was predeceased by his mother; Frances, father; Jack, brother; Stirling, sisters; Elizabeth, and Margret.
Leaving to mourn his passing his loving wife Isabel, son; Scott, daughter; Pam (Bill), grandchildren; John (Isabel and Stephanie), Daniel (Kara) (Brooke and Beckem), Alicia (Ryan) (Walker, Jackson, and Shay), Vickie, and Janette (Bryce) (Landen, Caleb, and Zane).
Ted was born May 17, 2017 in Portage La Prairie. Ted farmed on the family farm his whole life, he played the fiddle and enjoyed listening to old time fiddle music, watching hockey, and playing cards with his family. Ted was a kind hearted and gentle mannered man who always enjoyed visiting with others. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

A private family graveside service has taken place at Hillside Cemetery.
