Joseph Myran
July 9, 1941 — February 1, 2026
Peacefully, Joe Myran entered the spirit world on February 1, 2026 at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 84 years.
Joe will be lovingly remembered by his children Sharon Yellowquill, Dolly Johnson, Lance Meeches, Tamara Meeches, Joseph Meeches and Francine Meeches, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his brother Paul Myran (Corena), numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Billy and Mary Myran, son Christopher Meeches, siblings Toni Myran, Doreen Peterson, Ruth Myran, Rebecca Myran and Betty Meeches.
Wake will take place at Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 4:00 pm. Feast and Service will be held at Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Friday, February 6, 2026 beginning at noon followed by burial at Myran Yellowquill Cemetery.
A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. www.mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com
