She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Kristopher Miller; children Angelita (Silvan) Miller, Alexander (Megan) Miller, Naomi Miller, and Myles (Natasha) Miller; grandchildren Alayna, Zane, Logan, Mila, Ezekiel, Elliana, Kristian, Isabella, Lorraine, Scarlette and Jaxson; mother Marjorie Prince; siblings Gerald, Clayton, Laura, Dallas, and Gracie and her many godchildren, adopted children, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and family.
She was predeceased by her father Earl Prince, grandmothers Elsie Pashe and Grace Siha, grandfathers Michael Pashe and Rufus Prince, and mother-in-law Lorraine Miller.
Juanita was born and raised in Dakota Tipi First Nation where she spent many days playing outside with all of her cousins. She attended school in Portage la Prairie where she would meet the love of her life, Kris and would have together her four children. Juanita loved all of her children deeply and would do anything for them. She was their fiercest protector and their loudest supporter. When she became a grandmother, this love grew exponentially. She was the best mamaw to her grandchildren, always thinking of them and buying them things she thought they would like. She loved watching her grandchildren play and would do anything to make them happy. She had the biggest hugs and the warmest embrace. Juanita spent the beginning of her career as a hairdresser and she enjoyed getting to meet new people each day. She always had a story to share with them or a joke to make. Juanita would also achieve a position as Councillor of Dakota Tipi First Nation where she made real change in the community. Juanita loved her community very much and always wanted to see it prosper. When she became Education Director, Juanita really found her passion. She got to not only help her community but the youth as well. She believed school to be the most important aspect in a young person’s life and always encouraged students to attend and finish. When Covid happened, she worked on getting an entire school set up and did so within 5 months and has kept it going. Juanita always threw a big grad party for all the students because she was so proud of their accomplishments throughout the school year. She had a love for fast, muscle cars and gardening, she spent many days planting in her yard in with her dog, Gotti. She was always very proud of how beautiful it would turn out. She became an avid beader and sewer making many different things such as her grandchildrens pow wow regalia, her own pow wow regalia, purses, earrings, etc. When she was determined to learn how to do something, she gave it her all. She was truly our wonder woman. She did so many things, it was hard to believe how much she accomplished in such a short time. Juanita loved everyone and took care of everyone. She was a pillar in the community and will be missed deeply.
