Kathreen "Kathee" Thurston

After a long courageous battle with cancer, Kathee Thurston passed away with family by her side at the Portage District General Hospital on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the age of 55 years.

Left to cherish Kathee’s memory are her husband Darryl, daughter Samantha, son Nick, dog Maddie, siblings Scott Treffry and Debbie Smith, stepmother Dorothy Prior, parents-in-law Garry and Clarene Thurston, brother-in-law Cory (Sheri) Thurston, niece Beckkie (Dean) Shirtliff, nephews Garrett Thurston and  Hunter Burston, extended family and friends.  She was predeceased by her parents Doug and Devona Treffry.

Family Tributes and Slideshow will be shown to Celebrate Kathee’s Life on Friday, May 1, 2020 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, family and friends are invited to come between 10 am and 4 pm.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Kathee’s memory to Central Plains Cancer Services, 318 Saskatchewan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0K8.
