Mallory Rae Christie

It is with extreme sadness we announce the sudden passing of Mallory Rae Christie on Thursday, January 15th, 2026 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba at the age of 41.

Left to mourn her passing is partner, Brent Weselowski of Dauphin, parents Mel and Colleen Christie of Glenboro, Manitoba; sister Caitlin; brother-in-law Jason; nephews Deacon and Easton, and niece Hudson of Portage la Prairie. Also left to mourn are various extended family and friends in Winnipeg and people she met in Portage with whom she made wonderful friendships. And her dog, Cheinchaud, who was her pride and joy.

Mallory was a spark who made a lasting impression on anyone who met her, be it co-workers, patients or friends. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was fiercely loyal and a true friend to those who knew her.

Arrangements for a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mallory may be made to The Salvation Army, or to the Portage Soup Kitchen or to the Highway Community Kitchen, 1680 Saskatchewan Ave. W. Portage la Prairie R1N 0N7.
