Marie "Lorraine" Delphine Glover (nee Gagnon)

With sadness we announce that Lorraine Glover passed away on February 18, 2026 at the Lions Prairie Manor at the age of 103 years.

Left to cherish her memory are her son John (Tonya) Glover of Portage la Prairie; grandchildren MacKenzie, Gabe (Kahlie) and Melaney; great grandson Weston; brother Allen (Nicole) Gagnon, lifelong friend Helen Miller, along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her niece Denise for her love and companionship she shared with mom in her final years.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Allan Glover and her siblings, Alfred, Ernest, Douglas, William, John, Clarence, James, Margaret, Agnes, Alice and Yvonne.

Lorraine grew up in Carman, then moved to Winnipeg for work until she met dad and they moved to the farm in Rathwell. They spent many years there raising their family until they retired to Portage la Prairie.

Mom was a loving foster mom to many children over the years until her beloved son John came into the family. Allan and Lorraine’s love story was admired by many. She adored her grandchildren. Both she and Allan had very special bonds with each of them.

Special thanks to the nursing staff at the Lions Prairie Manor for their loving care. She touched the hearts of many staff and fellow residents over the years.

A celebration of both Lorraine and Allen’s lives will be held on Saturday May 9, 2026, at 11:00 am, at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. The service will be livestreamed and may be viewed by registering at the link below.
