We are saddened to announce the death of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Edna Ross who passed away on December 20, 2020, after a brief illness at the age of 95.

Edna was born on the family farm in Newton, Mb on April 15, 1925, the youngest daughter of Wilbert and Mary Ann Asselstine. She and her family later moved to Oakville Mb, where she attended school. After graduating from High School she went to secretarial college in Winnipeg and then went on to work for Canada Permanent. She married Sheldon Ross on December 6, 1952 and moved to the Ross family farm east of Oakville. After Shel’s death in 1983, she remained on the farm until she moved to Winnipeg in 2004. Edna was predeceased by her parents Wilbert and Mary Ann, husband Sheldon, brother Walter and sisters Inez and Hazel.

Edna leaves behind her son, Grant of Winnipeg, daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dan Botterill of Calgary. She is also fondly remembered by her three grandsons, Shawn, Andrew (Crystal) and Jeff (Melissa) and 8 great grandchildren.
