Michael Bradly Anderson

“Brad”

We regret to announce the passing of Brad Anderson on January 19, 2018 in Portage la Prairie at the age of 29 years.

Left to treasure his memory are his fiancée Janine Brugger and daughter Camilla of Portage la Prairie; mother Peggy Anderson of Portage;  sisters Samantha (Chris) of Portage and Kristen of Winnipeg; Afi Asgar Sigurdson of Gladstone; father Michael Anderson of Gladstone; niece and nephews Carson, Avery, Greyson, Nate and Tye.  Also left to miss him are his in-laws Don and Gwen Brugger, Dean (Tara) and Dave (Candice) along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.   He is predeceased by his grandparents Ken and Flossy Anderson and Doris Sigurdson.

Brad grew up and went to school in Gladstone and attended high school in MacGregor.  In 2010 he met the love of his life Janine and his special little girl came along in 2015.  Brad was employed as a heavy equipment operator with EF Moon Construction for several years and most recently started a welding career at Cobalt Industries.  It was obvious from a very early age that Brad enjoyed taking anything apart so that he could see how it would work and put it back together and this stayed with him into adulthood as he had many vehicles and projects on the go.  He had an infectious smile and a great sense of humour; everyone knew when he entered the room.  Brad had so many hobbies including his 1980 Chevy 1 ton 4X4 crew cab, hunting, fishing, cooking and spending time with his family.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel at 1:00 pm led by Beth Kerr with coffee and dainties to follow.

Donations in memory of Brad may be made to Manitoba Firefighters Burn Fund, 303 – 83 Garry Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 4J9 and or to a trust fund that has been created for his family c/o The Royal Bank of Canada, 140 Saskatchewan Ave E, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0L1, donations can be made in person at the branch or cheques may be made payable to Janine Brugger in trust for Camilla Anderson.
