With sadness we announce that Milton James Pashe passed away on February 11, 2026, at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 68 years.
He is survived by his children Eric, Priscilla, Milton and Matthew; grandchildren Kieran, Caydan, Everlee, Andrea, Triston, Samuel, Ashton, Kobe and Kingsley; great grandchildren Simon, Iris, Jermaine, Roman, Paris, Nirvana and Ariana; siblings Albert (Pansy) Pashe, Wilbur Pashe, Stuart Pashe, Eugene (Debby) Pashe and Kim (Sherri) Pashe. He was predeceased by his parents Stuart Smoke and Audrey Pashe; granddaughters Jeanette Malcolm and Summer Meeches and siblings Irvin Smoke and Dwayne Pashe.
Milton was born in Portage la Prairie on July 28, 1957. He was the second eldest of eight boys and lived in Dakota Plains. He attended elementary schools, first going to Long Plain and then Rossendale. His high school days were spent in MacGregor.
While still a young man, Milton left home to work on the farm. He would spend most of life out there in the fields. For over forty years he would work for the Stewart brothers at Blair-Athol Farms. It always filled Milton with pride, knowing he was personally responsible for providing food for people throughout the world.
But Milton was much more than just a farmer; he was a loving father to his three children Eric Priscilla and Little Milton. He was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren.
Milton was also a good hunter, a skilled mechanic and a caring and generous friend. He was always willing to help others no matter what. It was no surprise Milton had friends from all over.
You are deeply loved and forever missed.
