Milton Sparrow

On March 30, 2018 with heavy hearts we are saddened to announce the passing of our father Milton Dennis Sparrow.

Dad was born in Carberry Manitoba on January 28, 1951 sixth child to (predeceased) Fred and Nellie Sparrow. He is survived by his siblings Iris Posthumus (Fred, predeceased), Cecil Sparrow (Ramona),Jim Sparrow (Yvonne), Nelson Sparrow (Phyllis), Leslie Sparrow (Donna), and Lorne Sparrow (Debbie) as well as many nephews and nieces and their children.

He enjoyed baseball and had a love for hockey. He met and married (predeceased) Linda Sparrow of Portage la Prairie where they later raised their children Carl Dell (Tina) and Jodie Sparrow (Abe predeceased). Dad when not working could be found in his garden or "puttering in the yard".  He had a natural gift for creating almost anything out of wood and working with  his hands which he enjoyed doing while spending time with his special friend Della Bohn in his later years .He adored his granddaughters Brooke-lynne and Brae-leigh who will miss his practical jokes and laughter he was thrilled with having a great granddaughter Paige.  Dad was an avid Dog lover and in the end Sparky was "his boy".  Dad was a character whose humour and laughter will be missed by many and will forever be in our hearts.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held on April 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Carberry Cemetery.
