Nicholas Panko

It is with great sadness and tears that we share the news of the sudden passing of Nick on February 28, 2022 while snowbirding in Mesa, Arizona.

He was born in Mountain Road on February 22, 1934, one of 9 children. He spent many years working and raising his family in Portage la Prairie and was the proprietor of Panko’s Food Centre before retiring and moving to Winnipeg in 1994. Here he met his life partner of 24 years, Mardal Flynn.

Nick was very active in lawn bowling, bird clubs, gardening, and loved visiting with friends and family.

He was predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Martha, and two sons Alan and  Michael. He is survived by son Randy Panko (Sandy), daughter Michele (Bob), daughter-in-law Debby, and grandchildren and step grandchildren.

He will be forever loved and forever remembered. No services will be held as Nick requested but we do appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.
