Quentin Curt Harder

August 10, 1970 a" January 23, 2010

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He was taken from us while enjoying one of his passions in life. Quentin worked hard, played hard and lived life to the fullest.

Left to remember a life well lived are his wife and best friend Jodi; their greatest accomplishments - daughters Cassidy and Chaley (Bug); parents Larry and Elaine Harder; sister Debbie / Kirk (Kiandra, Dayson and Carver) Lyttle; brother Rodney / Tiffany (Braden and Kai) Harder; parents-in-law Sharon and Steve McCorrister; brother-in-law Chris McCorrister (Rhianna and Alleasha); grandparents-in-law Doreen and Earl Johnston and his four legged buddy Milo. Quentin leaves behind many close friends and family.

Quentin took his own independent path through education. He worked his way up from the bottom at McCains, where he apprenticed, trained and achieved his journeymen millwright certification. He continued to be a dedicated and committed worker, which earned him the respect of all he came in contact with.

Quentin's passion for motors, speed and leading the pack started from a very young age. He was forever jetting, clutching, picking, piping and tuning in the "speed shop"! He loved "pinching" in fresh powder. He also enjoyed boating, water skiing and camping. He was a great friend with an open door and a waiting smile.

Family vacations and backyard pool parties were his favourite times.

Quentin was the strength and light of our family.

Funeral Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 1:30 pm officiated by Father Eric Giddins, assisted by Deacon Bill Parrack. Interment will take place later at St. Margaret's Anglican Cemetery, High Bluff, Manitoba.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Quentin's memory to a Benefit Fund for Education for Cassidy and Chaley Harder through the Scotia Bank, 101 Sask. Ave. E. Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0L7.

A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel who are in care of arrangements. 857-4021 www.mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com

Messages will be added to website on Monday, February 1, 2010. Thank you for your patience.
