Roger was born in Guelph, Ontario on February17,1952 to parents Lloyd and Rose McEachnie. They moved west to Manitoba, relocating several times. After the birth of his sister Viola, they then settled in Oakville, Manitoba, where he completed his education and established many lifelong friendships. After that Roger began work at Portage Diversion Operations and retired after 36 years of dedicated service.
He loved being outdoors; whether it was gardening, maintaining his yard or sitting at the fire pit in his yard. He also enjoyed volunteering at Austin Thresherman’s Reunion, camping and time well spent with his family and friends.
Rogers family would like to thank the Healthcare Aides, Nurses and Doctors in the various clinic and healthcare facilities that provided excellent compassionate care.
Also a special thank you to Central Plains Cancer Services, family and friends who assisted Roger over the past number of years.
