With heavy hearts we are sad to announce the passing of our Son, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, Cousin and friend, Ronald Albert Junior Smoke ”Bido”. Bido passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at his home in Dakota Plain Wahpeton Nation at the age of 50 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his father Ronald Smoke Sr., mother Eleanor French, sisters Gina, Crystal (Jason), Wanita, Cora, Monica (Derrick), brother Byron, step-sisters Leanne and Lisa, sister-in-law Lisa, and numerous family members and friends.
Bido had no children of his own but was a father figure to Taylor Ann and Preston Hobson and had a very special relationship with Deshawn. He also had great love for his many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Waiting for him on the other side are his grandparents, Tiyo and Chaske Smoke, Elsie and Norman Beauchamp, step-father Herman and brother Waylon.
Bido was raised and loved dearly by his Kunshi Tiyo in Dakota Plains Wahpeton Nation. When he was young, he travelled far and wide with his kunshi, uncle Ernie and aunt Vickie.
Bido loved his family immensely and would regularly reach out to just say hello or share funny videos. He tried to attend as many of his families' events as he could especially hockey games.
He loved cars and anything to do with cars. He especially loved Mustangs and was very proud of his many Mustangs throughout the years.
Bido always had a good story to tell. Cruising around, watching wrestling and visiting with family were some of his favorite things to do.
