Susanne Elaine Wright (nee Ryshak)

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Susanne “Susan” Wright, who left us on May 1, 2026 at the age of 68 years with her loving husband by her side.

Susan will be deeply missed by her husband John “Jack” Wright, daughter Samantha (Keith) Hutlet, grandsons Wyatt and Davis Hutlet, sister Diane MacKenzie of Ontario, brothers David Ryshak of BC and Terry (Kathi) Ryshak of Portage la Prairie. Susan also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Susan is predeceased by her parents Victor and Anne Ryshak, grandson Draven Hutlet and sister-in-law Elaine Ryshak.

Susan was born in Brandon Manitoba on July 20, 1957, and moved to Portage la Prairie on August 1,1965 where she met the love of her life "Jack" in the early 70’s and by 1974 had gotten married and brought into this world a beautiful baby girl named Samantha.

Susan was employed at a number of businesses over the years with some notable places like Munro Farm Supplies, where she was just one of the boys, and Philips Cables. Susan’s passion was her love for her Newfoundland dogs “Newfies” and her numerous cats. Susan was an avid hunter and fisher women. Susan had won “the call of the wild” best all around champion in moose calling in 1999. In Susan’s earlier years Susan loved her horses and barrel racing. Susan’s love for wildlife, her zest for the outdoors, and her kind heart for helping all animals that were injured is what made Susan the person she was.

We appreciate your support and condolences during this difficult time.

A private graveside service at Beaver Creek Cemetery to honour and celebrate Susan’s life will be held at a later date.
