Terrance Robert Steeden

With sadness we announce the passing of Robert Steeden on August 31, 2025 at his home at the age of 55 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his parents Valerie (nee Bullock) and David Middlemost of Mesachie Lake, BC; siblings Kathy (Gary) Gwynn of Belize, Murray (Rita) Middlemost of Dundas, ON, Michael (Jessica) Middlemost of Dundas, ON, and Tammy Middlemost of Brantford, ON; uncles and aunts Gary and Debbie Bullock of Portage la Prairie, Grant and Valerie Bullock of Portage la Prairie, Garth and Tracey Bullock of Portage la Prairie and Donna Bullock of Vancouver, BC; nephews Ryan Steeden and Tyson Middlemost; niece Asia Middlemost along with numerous cousins and his best friend Boyd Clark. He was predeceased by his grandparents Ivy and Walter Bullock, Kip Steeden and his father Terry Steeden.

Robert was born in Portage la Prairie, MB on May 28, 1970. He attended La Verendrye School until 1986, then moved to Paradise, Nova Scotia. He finished his education in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia. In 1991 he joined the Canadian Armed Forces until 2019. He then moved back to his birthplace where he finally was able to follow his dream of being a hobby farmer in the Poplar Point area. He loved woodworking and anything to do with his hands.

He loved spending time with his uncles, aunts and cousins. His friend Boyd got his help with any project he had going.

He will be dearly missed by family and friends. Rest in peace, son.

A reception will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel at 11:00 am. It will be livestreamed and may be viewed by registering at the link below.
