With sadness we announce that Terrence “Terry” Witoski, passed away on August 15, 2026, at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 71 years.
Terry is survived by his wife Jani Lynne Witoski, of Portage la Prairie, MB. He is also survived by his children: Richard Witoski of Steinbach, MB, Michael (Lesley) Witoski of Ile des Chênes, MB, Christina (Darren) Price of Ile des Chênes, MB, Jessica Wallace of Portage la Prairie, MB, Rachel (Clayton) Flamand of Portage la Prairie, MB and Joshua (Alicia) Tinson, of Davidson, SK; grandchildren: Tyler (Shanielle) & Seth Witoski, Liam & Logan Witoski, Isla & Serena Price, Colby & Ami Murrell, River Wallace, Hunter Popko, Maverick & Primrose Tinson; great-grandchild Keira Witoski; siblings: Laurie (David) Kaminski, of Lethbridge, AB and Chris Witoski, of Winnipeg, MB; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa Witoski (née Durocher); parents Ted and Joan Witoski; siblings Kathie (Gerard) Grocholski; mother-in-law Irene Bowman and brother-in-law Scott Bowman
Terry was born at St. Boniface Hospital to Ted and Joan Witoski on January 25, 1955, and was the eldest of four children. He spent much of his youth growing up in St. James, Winnipeg.
In the 1970s, Terry lived in Drayton Valley, Alberta for a brief period where he married Theresa Durocher before returning to Manitoba to raise his children in Lorette, MB.
In 2009, he met and married his wife, Jani, and for the most part they resided in Portage la Prairie, MB.
Terry devoted many years to his career as a long-haul driver. After retirement, he continued staying busy with smaller trucking jobs. He had a passion for fishing, ATV trails, camping, road trips, and being outdoors. He loved spending time with his dog Kodiak and cat Tundra.
Above all, Terry’s greatest joy was his family. His ability to connect with people and his commitment to loved ones brought warmth to every gathering -especially with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
The family will be holding a private family service.
As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made in Terry’s memory to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
