A celebration of Trevor’s life will be held at Eternal Grace Funerals, 1111 Logan Ave in Winnipeg on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery.  The service was recorded and can be viewed on this page.

Trevor enjoyed his life and was a wonderful, loving person.  He was extremely witty and loved to laugh and play jokes on his family and friends.  When he was a boy he would invite all his school friends over after school to gather at his home and feed them fruit, candy, whatever was available.  His Mom did a lot of grocery shopping.  He would help his friends with any issues they had starting when he was just a youngster of 6 years old.  This continued throughout his life, helping others.  Trevor and his Mom would take bottled water to Main St Project for the homeless and help strangers with donations.

When he was young, he played soccer, baseball, running track, gymnastics, bowling. Trevor’s Mom introduced him and his sister Amber to live theatre and opera at a young age.  He loved live theatre and classical music; his favorite being Beethoven. His favorite music was rock but he had an appreciation of all music genres.   Other things Trevor enjoyed was art, he made his first painting at the age of seven.  He also illustrated and wrote his own comic books.  He was a great artist.  He loved biking, swimming, fishing and playing poker. Him and his girlfriend would biked to Birds Hill park.

Later in life, he studied Welding and during a 3 week in-class training program he designed a decorative railing and some tools to use for a fire pit for his parents. Trevor had many talents and a great personality.  Trevor would turn on his charm to charm you into getting his way, not on serious matters but trivially pursuits such as getting him a Slurpee on the way home.  While he was in ICU, he charmed the nurse into calling his mom at 11:30 p.m. to ask for a Slurpee.  The nurse called Mom, who was of course worried as to why the hospital was calling, just to learn it was Trevor wanting a Slurpee.  Mom spoke with the nurse and Trevor and conceded to bring a Slurpee first thing in the morning.

Trevor was very close to his Mom, they would lunch together, get haircuts together, attend shows such as the amazing Cavalia Cirque du Soleil live horse show.  He was a beloved son, brother, friend.  He loved his sister dearly. He will be missed by everyone who loved him.

A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel.
