Verna Ball (Cewick) (nee Morisseau)

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, Verna Ball on March 29, 2026 at Douglas Campbell Lodge at the age of 94.

She is survived by her children Debbie (Norm) Arpin, Ron Cewick, and Diane (Gerry) Lesage. She is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses; Cherie (Rob), Jocelyne (Rob), Suzanne (Geoff), Michelle (Dusty), Chris, and Michael (Erika), and her great grandchildren; Alexandre, Lachlan, Andrew, Maelle, Milo, Eli, Zoe, Lailah, Natalie, and Leah. She also leaves to mourn her passing, her sister Margret (Harry) and her brothers, Cliff (Theresa) and Garry (Helga) and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ken Ball, her parents, Mark and Annie Morisseau, her sisters Georgette and Rosella, her brothers, Mark, Stanley, Louis and Clarence, and her first husband, Bill Cewick, father of their children.

Mom loved music, dancing, going for walks, nature, and visiting. Above all, Mom cherished her family.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. A video tribute and live music will be held prior to the service in the chapel. Interment will take place at McKenzie Cemetery, High Bluff, Manitoba.
