'Brown Horse'
With great sadness we announce the sudden loss of Vincent Longclaws on August 5th 2023, he was 26 years old at the time of his passing.
Vincent spent most of his early life living in Winnipeg and Long Plain with his siblings and parents. In recent years, Vincent had always worked to provide for himself and was often asking his nieces and nephew if they wanted a treat. Vincent walked to and from his job with NDC construction at the Long Plain School new addition. He was the carpenter’s helper, learning many assorted skills related to the job and the other trade companies working along side his position. He'd been offered multiple jobs with the other companies while working and he chose to stay with NDC construction whom he was hired with.
He enjoyed playing games online with his 2 brothers after work or on the weekends. Vincent loved spending time or talking to his best friend Taylynn and her children. He'd visit his sister Danielle, brother-in-law Byron and their children almost everyday. He'd go for rides to town with his father Chris. He'd care for his dog Diggo whom he referred to as his baby, he'd take him for walks and made sure he always had a toy to play with. Vincent did homecare for his aging uncle alley for the last year.
Vincent was a loved and cherished Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Friend and Co-worker.
Vincent leaves to mourn his passing his mother Louise Green, father Christopher Longclaws, brothers Tim Longclaws, Anthony Green, Gerald Longclaws, Kevin Green and Frederick Longclaws, sisters Christy Longclaws, Danielle Longclaws (Byron) and Brenlynn Green, nieces Kashis Longclaws, Kianndra Longclaws, Luciana Longclaws, Daysha Longclaws, nephew Kyle Longclaws and Goddaughter Beautiful Bird, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends too many to name.
Vincent was predeceased by his brother David, and grandparents Alfred Longclaws, Florence Longclaws, Duncan McDonald, and Margaret Green.
The family would like to thank Kyle Scott and the first responders for all their help. Chi Miigwech
