Walter George Hickman

Walter Hickman passed away peacefully at the Portage District General Hospital on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Walter was predeceased by his loving wife Connie (nee Barrault) in 1992, parents George and Rose (nee Lavallee) Hickman, daughter Crystal Carpenter, son-in-law Carl Suderman, grandson Davyd Suderman and great-granddaughter Sammy Turko.

Left to mourn Walter’s passing are his partner Elaine Devisscher, step-daughter Jo-Ann (Gilbert) Szucki, daughters Suszan Suderman and Cindy (Doug) Fagnan, and son-in-law Leo Carpenter, as well as eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many extended family members.

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 1:30pm at Hillside Cemetery with Deacon Rick Ryzner officiating.

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Walter’s memory to Sunset Palliative Care Inc., 40 Royal Rd N, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1V1.
