Wendy Viola Clara Arnold

Peacefully, on March 10, 2026, Wendy, who was an angel on Earth, gained her wings and flew free from her Earthly constraints.

Wendy faced many challenges in her life. At the tender age of 6, Wendy left her family home in Saskatchewan to move to Portage La Prairie, living at the MDC. Wendy spent the majority of her life at the centre. In late 2023, Wendy had to opportunity  move into the community with New Directions. In these brief years with us, Wendy has touched many hearts.

Wendy was the oldest in the family. Her sisters, Wanda, Wanita and Wynette will keep her memory alive for the family. Wendy now joins her parents, Marvin and Norma, and her brother Monty, in Heaven. Also, her roommates, friend and staff will hold her in a special place in their hearts forevermore. Although Wendy couldn’t speak, she would smile and let you know that she was safe and happy and loved.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel at 1:00. She will be laid to rest at a later date in Meadow Lake, SK.
