“Flying Turtle Man”
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ricky Myran in Kamloops, BC. He was 51 years old when he passed into the Spirit World.
Ricky will be sadly missed by his children Cassidy, Cassina, Clayton Jr., Andrew, Carlan, Selena Jo, Alexis, Diamond Jeanie, Darius, Darian, Dwayne, Ronnie, Donnie and Aalyzah, wife Rhonda, brothers Eric, Dwayne (Angel) and Sheldon, and special nephew Keyodie, as well as many grandchildren, aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ricky was predeceased by his mom Dorothy Grace, stepdad Ralph, father Richard, uncles Dennis, Art and Thomas, cousin Gordie, and his maternal grandparents Louise and Louis Sr.
Ricky attended school in both Long Plain First Nation and Portage la Prairie, MB. For many years he was a sheet metal worker, and always worked hard to provide for his beloved family.
Ricky was a kind, humorous and adventurous individual. He loved all of his children, and he always spoke of them with love.
Dad loved music and dancing. Whenever there was music playing in another room, he would come dancing into the room. As a young boy, he could always be seen dancing under the arbor at Pow Wow time.
Dad never hesitated to help anyone who needed help. He would drop everything in an instant and tell his family “Let’s Go” He always thought of others and their needs before his own.
Ricky always shared his opinions and had kind words for whoever asked him for advice.
Dad saw a lot of the country, and didn’t need money to do so. He would just pack up, get up and go.
At a younger age, people knew him by his nickname “Munch”. He loved his brothers very much and tried to stay in contact. He always made time on Sundays to call someone in the family.
