Eleanor "Nan" Jackson

December 7, 1925 — February 27, 2020

Peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2020, Eleanor “Nan” Jackson passed away at Douglas Campbell Lodge at the age of 94 years.

Nan will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Diane Patterson; grandchildren Heidi Patterson and Todd (Nancy) Patterson; great grandchildren David and Derek; along with extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her twin sister Evelyn and brothers Jim, Reg and Doug.

Eleanor was born to Elizabeth and Henry Speck and raised in Port Carling, ON along with her siblings, and later moved to Toronto and worked in Loblaws for over 25 years until her retirement. She then moved to Woodstock, NB to be close to her daughter and they relocated to Portage in 1997. In her spare time, Nan enjoyed knitting, cross stitch and embroidery, along with completing her word search and adult coloring books. The most important thing to Nan was her family, and she loved to visit and travel with family and friends.

A Celebration of Nan’s life will take place on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 11:00 am at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, led by Rev. John Dolloff.

Donations in memory of Nan may be made to the Douglas Campbell Lodge Foundation, c/o Portage District General Hospital, 150-9th St.SE, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3T6, or St. Mary’s la Prairie Anglican Church, 36-2nd St.SW, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 2A1.
