Obituary

Due to the change in public health regulations, the family would like to invite you to a graveside service on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 1:00pm at Hillside Cemetery.

We regret to announce the sudden passing of our Mother, Grandmother and great grandmother, Beth Palendat on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 94 years.

She was predeceased by her husband Leon, parents Anna and Henry Harms, sister Anne Dyck and infant brother Henry Harms. Beth will be lovingly remembered by her children Jude Bachalo (Scott Wood) of Surrey, BC, Barb (Keith) Burch of Portage la Prairie, MB, and Gerald (Glenda) Palendat of Portage la Prairie, MB; grandchildren Dustin (Christine) Burch, Lindsay (Lisa) Burch, Stephanie (Colan) Palendat – Pazmandy and Christopher Palendat (Abigail); great grandchildren Chloe, Sadi and Kaycee Palendat – Pazmandy and Katie and Josie Burch; sisters-in-law Bev (Brian) Bell, Judy Palendat, Yvonne Driscoll and Sharon Moore, and “son-in-law” Dennis Bachalo, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Her family was her life. She adored her 3 children and she was their rock. Dustin was the serious one, Lindsay the adventurous, Chris was known to give Grandma the strongest hugs, Stephanie the first granddaughter to spoil. Each one had a special piece of her heart.

Beth enjoyed five and ten pin bowling leagues very much. She volunteered in the kitchen at the Herman Prior Centre. Beth and Leon had travelled and she would often talk about her trips and the friends they met on these adventures.

The family would like to thank Dr. Zabolotet and the nurses of Unit 4 South at the Grace Hospital. Special thanks to Christie Painter and all the amazing staff at Douglas Campbell Lodge for their care and compassion.

Due to the change in public health regulations, the family would like to invite you to a graveside service on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 1:00pm at Hillside Cemetery.
