Hilary Jane Fuller

Hilary Jane Fuller passed into the presence of her Lord early in the morning Saturday March 7, 2015 at the Portage General Hospital, Portage La Prairie Manitoba, at the age of 74.

Hilary was born in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire, England on January 21st 1941.  She had 7 siblings who have all predeceased her.  At the age of 7 she was adopted into a wonderful loving family and raised in the south of England. She accepted Christ as her Saviour as a young girl.  She met and married her first husband James Howden and they raised their 8 children in the southwest; daughter Fiona and Dean Jackson(James,Karl, Kate, Sarah); daughter Estelle and Mark Canniford (Chantelle); son Brian and Debbie Howden (Alex, Luke); daughter Astrid and Stephen Fletcher (Calvin, Katrina); son Cliff and Nicola Howden (Matthew, Charlotte); daughter Cheryl and Johan DeJager (Joshua, Tristin); daughter Sonja and Jared Pratt (Shaylan, Kharis, Taliah); daughter Lorraine Howden (Anna, Elliot).

She moved to Canada in 1995, eventually settling in Manitoba where she met her second husband Bill Fuller, they were married in 2007.  She thoroughly enjoyed visiting with family and friends and showed compassion and kindness to all those around her especially to those in real need.  She loved her garden and could often be found there, pulling up weeds or plotting a new landscape design!  Ever the artist, she truly appreciated God’s beauty in the nature that surrounded her and enjoyed watching the birds that visited her numerous feeders especially during the winter months when she couldn’t get out into her garden.

She will be sorely missed by Bill and his family as well as her own children and grandchildren and by her many friends in the Portage area.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel at 11:00 am.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Hilary's memory to Portage District General Hospital Foundation, 524  5 ^th Street SE, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3A8.
